Your first full day dedicated to the wonders of the Mary River catchment begins with the signature, exhilarating Airboat Safari. This is the only way to truly explore the vast, shimmering wetlands, offering a feeling of freedom as you skim across the floodplains. Glide effortlessly past thousands of congregating Magpie Geese, Plumed Whistling-Ducks, and Ibis, ensuring unmatched photo opportunities of the phenomenal birdlife. The late morning is dedicated to time at leisure within the lodge. Journey into the rural area and wander through a native old-growth forest, discovering the diverse plant life and learning how Aboriginal people used these plants for food, medicine, tools, hunting, and more.  The gardens showcase a stunning array of native plants, bromeliads, exotic tropical fruit trees, herbs, orchids, palms, bamboo, caladiums, culinary plants, water plants, medicinal and edible flowers, crotons, cordylines, and much more.  Enjoy refreshing breaks with cold drinks and tropical fruit, and if you're lucky, you might even get to taste fruit straight from the tree (when in season).
